How to Get Started in Your
Real Estate Career
1. Obtain a
Michigan Real Estate Salespersons License. To obtain a license,
you must:

Must be at least 18 years of age
·
By
a high school graduate or the holder of an equivalency degree (GED)
·
Successfully complete a 40-hour pre-licensing course, including
a final exam for the course
·
Pass the Michigan State licensing examination
2. Taking the Pre-license Course:

The pre-license course must be completed at a state-approved
school in a classroom setting. <Click

The course will take one to six weeks to complete, depending on
whether you take a day or an evening class.

When you successfully complete the course, your will be required
to take the state Real Estate Salesperson License exam. When
you pass the exam you will issued a salespersons license. You
must be affiliated with a broker who will actually hold
your license.
